The Indianapolis Convention Center was rocking May 15-17, 2026, as Methodist women joined together for Assembly 2026. The theme this year was Dream It ! Believe It! Do It!, and everyone left ready to bring the hands and feet of Jesus to the streets.
The Texas Conference was blessed to witness the consecration of new deaconess, Kristen Tropeano, of Strawbridge UMC in Kingwood.
Texas was also pleased to bring home the 1869 Award at the Legacy Banquet, honoring the Conference with the most new 1869 members.
The keynote speakers of the event were Stacey Abrams and her mother, retired United Methodist pastor, Rev. Carolyn Abrams, who charged us to resist authoritarianism.
